UAE National Day is coming up in just a few days. And so it is not surprising to see a lot of events, discounts and the likes from retailers and malls across the country. And a Facebook addict like me has seen a lot of articles on what events I should attend. But as a mother, I know I can’t party with a Dutch DJ (at a price of 275 AED!) and neither can I get swanky at an Opera with two kids trailing by. So being the chronic list-maker that I am, I went ahead and made my own list. Here is a scoop of UAE National Day Events and Activities for families:
Watch the Sky light up at JBR
Fireworks have become a pretty standard norm to celebrate any Dubai holiday but somehow the charm never fades. Families in Dubai can head to The Beach at JBR for fireworks at 8:30 pm from Thursday to Saturday. If you want my suggestion, head there at 5. Enjoy an hour or so at the children dedicated play area, have dinner and end the night on some fireworks. During all this, you will get to see the horse show, flash show, and the flash mob.
Dubai Parks and Resort
The newest entertainment spot in Dubai just made the wowest offer. Tickets to all three of its venues, LEGOLAND Dubai, Riverland and Bollywood Parks have been marked the lowest- 45 AED. An unbelievable offer if you can snag one off.
Fuel for Adventurous Side at IMG World
For National Day, IMG has reduced its ticket prices to 225. So if the price was what was keeping you away from the place, this could be your chance for literally meet with the giants- animals included. Book your tickets.
Start the Day with a Free Pizza
Did I hear that correct? Free and Pizza in just one sentence. If you an early riser (I am not but my kids are), you can head off to Pizza Express. The Pizza joint is offering 45 free pizzas in all of their restaurants across the UAE.
Head Back Home
Dubai’s leading airlines, Emirates and Etihad have announced their cheapest airfare of the year. Return flights back home to home are less than 850 AED. Starting from 355 AED for Muscat, Etihad is offering 45 percent off for air fare to 45 holiday destinations for the 45th National Day Sale.

The fun doesn’t end with the holidays. For all those who still feel the after effects of the holidays, head over to Dubai Marina Yacht Club. The Club is having a boat parade on 2nd December from 12 pm to 6 pm. The parade will include yachts and boats decorated in UAE theme. Kids can enjoy face painting and also a treasure hunt while parents take part in raffle draws.
